We do not, under really any
circumstances, need another goddamn dress shirt. Not a chambray one. Not
a plaid one. Not a single, solitary one. Aside from minor variations in
color and fit, most of the ones we own are pretty much the same — and
we're fine with that. But the decades-old brand GANT is making the case
that we should clear a little space and pick up a few pieces from its
new Tech Prep Line, which the company claims will come in handy when
you’re sweaty but don’t want to be.
[post_ads]Creative Director Matthew Wood describes the recently launched collection as "presentable performance." "It was inspired by our innovative performance shirts from the early 1960s," he said. "The goal was to create ease-of-use shirts suitable for modern living."
But what’s all this about onboard tech, exactly? “There are several ‘performance shirts’ on the market today, but they all feel synthetic — plastic-like,” Wood wrote in an email. "We are known for luxurious shirtings with beautiful finishes. The goal was to make the technology invisible, to start with the best quality cotton fibers and then weave in the technology."

And put simply, the cotton/microfiber polyester blend shirts just look like really high-quality shirts you'd want to wear year-round — the added bonus being that you actually can. Available styles include classic button-downs — we’re fans of the staple white pique jersey shirt and, for something other than the plaid and striped options we wear too often, the Focus Barre.
