Etiquettes! The unspoken guidelines and protocols that govern our society, bind us together as glue, the one we learned at our primary level in school or at the dinner table.
Well, yes, it’s time to extend these rules to the beach too: the one stop destination for you in this scorching summer.
Beach is a place where you forget all your worries and let yourself loose. But that doesn’t give you the leverage to be sloppy. Following a proper code of conduct on the beach is as important as behaving yourself in a high-class restaurant. So, as you pack your bags, fuel your car and head away to the land of sandy beaches, crystal-blue water and hot sun, these are a couple of basic rules that you need to keep in mind.
1
Size Matters
Wearing a tiny, short Speedo on the beach can never be acceptable. It not only make other people cringe but also let them believe that you don’t own a mirror, are indifferent and a narcissist too! Also, the louder the print on your swimming trunks, the younger you should be. So choose your swimsuit wisely.
2
Bling Bane
You simply can’t wear chains and accessories on a bared chest and hit the beach. It will earn you scornful looks from other vacationers. It’s tacky and will also make you look like a gangster or a pimp. Never go that way!
3
Smoking Sucks
Although smoking is not banned on the beach (though it should have been), one should still shun away from this practice. Essentially, because it gets annoying if someone smokes in the vicinity and stub it later in the sands. It destroys the beach as well as the mood of the vacationers.
4
No Noise Please
We understand that you are with your group of friends, looking forward to have a rocking time, but keeping your decibels down is important. It’s not appropriate to be loud around others who are trying to relax and enjoy themselves.
5
Skilled People Required
If you insist on bringing football, Frisbee or other such throwing object to play with on the beach, make sure you are well armed and skilled to keep ‘em to yourself. Otherwise, be prepared for the wrath and hell hath no fury than a woman scorned!
